What to Expect
What should I expect if I join a Discovery Group?
Imagine yourself gathered around a table with friends curiously waiting for your Discovery Group to begin. You are excited and a little nervous because you are not quite sure what you have signed up for. You soon will be introduced to different Meraki Methods to engage with Scripture that will be paired with activities and experiences to help discover the love of Jesus.
Your time will be focused around Psalm 139 with an emphasis on how God created us, God knows us, and God loves us. During each meeting our curriculum touches on the 4 main learning styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, reading/writing). Each meeting will also touch on 4 of the 5 love languages (words of affirmation, acts of service, receiving gifts, and quality time). This is definitely an outside the box experience.
What should I bring?
Bring your Bible on the first day and if you need one, we have one to give to you. Also remember to wear clothing that could get a bit dirty. We will provide all the other supplies.
Who is a Discovery Group for?
Discovery Groups are designed for a group of around 6 girls or women who are interested in discovering or rediscovering their identity in Jesus. These groups can be held in homes, workplaces, community centers, churches, homeless shelters, or any place that has tables and chairs.
Not in the Milwaukee area, no problem. We have started Meraki Zoom gatherings specifically designed for groups that are unable to meet in person. We will send you the supplies at the start of your 4 week Discovery Group.
